IndependentVoice.org 2008 Presidential Strategy Questionnaire

Welcome to the IndependentVoice.Org 2008 Presidential Election Strategy Questionnaire.

Believe it or not, the first Presidential Primary for 2008 is less than 10 months away! And independents are organizing to have an impact and a voice.

42% of Americans now identify themselves as independents . Independents feel we have a political system that puts the special interests first and the American people second. That’s why IndependentVoice.Org is organizing independent voters – not into a third party – but a movement to reform politics.
* 1. What do you think of the current political process in Washington? Does it mostly reflect the will of the people? Or is it mostly run by the two parties and their special interests?

* 3. For the two reforms you just named, do you think the two major parties will pass those reforms, or will independents have to fight for them?

Independents Will Have To Fight For Them

* 4. To change politics in America, independents need to move beyond just being swing voters.

To do this we would challenge all the major presidential candidates to partner with independents in carrying out our reform agenda. If a candidate did, we would then urge independents to vote for that candidate. The idea would be to leverage our voting power to create a seat at the table for independents.

How likely would you be to support this tactic?
Very Likely Somewhat Likely Somewhat Unlikley Not Likely

5. Are you following a particular Presidential Candidate? If so, which one are you following the closest? (Choices randomized)
