[No] Scale seems wrong and I do not think a food court, if still in the plan, works. Non profits should not compete with local small business. |
09/12/2013 | 8875694 |
[Yes] It will look a lot better than the tents. |
09/12/2013 | 8873326 |
[Yes] Those of us who attended the Society's presentation at Rosecliff realize that the plan has been very carefully developed, sensitively designed, and should not in any way impinge on The Breakers, per se. All doubts I had beforehand were ably dispelled by the presenters. |

[No] The area is supposed to be residential and the Preservation Society is treating it as all business. |
09/11/2013 | 8858826 |
[Yes] You don't see the center as you walk toward the gate, as I recall, just the mansion. |
09/11/2013 | 8857760 |
[No] I don't object to a new ticket office and bathrooms, but I oppose a food service area. They have two already (Marble Hose and Elms). |
09/11/2013 | 8857449 |
[No] Not consistent with mission of preservation. |
09/11/2013 | 8856607 |
[Yes] This location is most ideal for the visitors. |
09/11/2013 | 8856523 |
[Yes] It is a beautiful design that will very much enhance the visitor experience at The Breakers. I am so sick of all the so called :do-gooders" who seem to know it all. Let's get them to move out of town! |
09/11/2013 | 8856321 | yes IF only for tickets & restrooms - NO Foodservice! |

[Yes] "Urban tumbleweed" |
09/12/2013 | 8873326 |
[Yes] They are a horrible plague. I have six tote bags that I keep in my car and have almost never used plastic bags. For those without bags, the Navy, for example, uses paper bags -- this could be an alternative for the public stores. If paper is too expensive for Stop and Shop and Shaws, they might easily add five or ten cents to the bill to cover the cost of the bags. it is high time to ban the bags !! |
09/12/2013 | 8867283 |
[Yes] I think that paper bags should be the option for people who do not have their own bags or who have forgotten to bring them. Many shoppers walk and paper bags are not as handy and that may pose a problem. |
09/11/2013 | 8858826 |
[Yes] They're a nuisance - seen them in trees? |
09/11/2013 | 8857760 |
[Yes] Unfortunately, these bags end up everywhere, including the Bay, due to people's carelessness. If banning them is what it takes, then so be it. |
09/11/2013 | 8857449 |
[Yes] Long overdue. |
09/11/2013 | 8857126 |
[No] I needs to be a more wide spread effort than two small towns. |
09/11/2013 | 8856523 |
[No] Who Cares???? There are many more inportant issues to address than bags. Barrington should be worried about all the teen age drinking instead of banning plastic bags! |
09/11/2013 | 8854273 |
[Yes] We all have to wake up to the need for eco friendly practices. |
09/11/2013 | 8853672 |
[Yes] Plastic bags are a convenience for the stores, but not for its customers or the environment. |

[Yes] I would gladly volunteer if were able to do so now. In my earlier days, I planted thousands of daffodil bulbs as a volunteer at Blithewold. |

09/11/2013 | 8857449 |
[Maybe] Not a priority. |
09/11/2013 | 8857126 |
[No] Two weeks of pretty flowers (if you think daffodils are pretty) are followed by two months of ugly weeds in these beds. I think the project is uglification---if that's a word but you get the idea. |
09/11/2013 | 8856321 |
[Yes] Yes - IF sponsored by private businesses & individuals - city can barely keep the streets in repair! |
09/11/2013 | 8856275 | they are beautiful for a short period and then... |
09/11/2013 | 8854273 |
[No] Don' really think it is necessary. |
09/11/2013 | 8853856 |
[Yes] Really terrific. And thanks to the Preservation Society whose staff does the planting |
09/11/2013 | 8853811 |
[Maybe] Variety is good, too! |
09/11/2013 | 8853672 |
[Yes] Beautification projects, such as this, are a must for a city that thrives on tourism. |
