How often do your students work on ST Math (times per week) and how long (in minutes) is each "average ST Math session" for your students?
06/10/2014 6366295 Often: 2-3 Times a week Session Length: 20-30 minutes
06/09/2014 6352970 20 minute sessions. Remedial classes - 4 or 5 times per week. On level - maybe 1 or 2 times per week
06/09/2014 6351701 5 times a week, 20 minute sessions
06/09/2014 6348202 60-90mins per week
06/09/2014 6348126 5 times/week. 20 minute sessions
06/09/2014 6348086 About 2-3 times a week for 20 minute sessions.
06/09/2014 6347844 3-5 times a week
06/09/2014 6345329 3xweek for 20 min. For block, 60 min x week for regs
Do your students work on ST Math outside of class time (is it required?), and if so, where? (like - at home, at the library, public wifi location, etc.)
06/10/2014 6366295 Not required, but they do at home and study halls.
06/09/2014 6352970 No
06/09/2014 6351701 no
06/09/2014 6348202 not requited, however some choose too..
06/09/2014 6348126 No. It is not a requirement outside of class.
06/09/2014 6348086 Very few students worked on ST Math outside of class especially since it was not required.
06/09/2014 6347844 no
06/09/2014 6345329 60 mi per week required (not always done by all) They can complete at home, in study hall, homework club after school, or library.
What is the class ability level (or achievement level) of your students - those who are assigned to use the ST Math program? (Choose ALL that apply)

Were you trained in the ST Math program features and/or scope and sequence? If so, who trained you? (staff development session, company training, informal colleague training, etc.)
06/10/2014 6366295 Yes, informal colleague training.
06/09/2014 6352970 Yes, informal colleague training
06/09/2014 6351701 yes by the company
06/09/2014 6348202 Company training
06/09/2014 6348126 Yes I was trained. I was trained by ST Math employees.
06/09/2014 6348086 Very minimal training with someone from the company.
06/09/2014 6347844 yes, company training
06/09/2014 6345329 Yes, Kimberly spriggsn
Do you make use of the Teacher Mode feature - the feature that allows you to present ST Math as a lesson for whole group instruction? If so, has this feature encouraged your students to articulate their strategies in analyzing models to solve puzzles in the program? Please comment.
06/10/2014 6366295 I have not.
06/09/2014 6352970 No
06/09/2014 6351701 no
06/09/2014 6348202 no... I use the program for skill building
06/09/2014 6348126 I do not use this feature.
06/09/2014 6348086 No.
06/09/2014 6347844 no
06/09/2014 6345329 No
Do you believe the program has any LIMITATIONS? If so, briefly describe.
06/10/2014 6366295 Not particularly. I'm still new to the program and it's fully-intended uses.
06/09/2014 6352970 Yes, the connections between the puzzles and the actual mathematics is not always clear. Students get used to using the puzzles and then do not pay attention to the math when it is introduced.
06/09/2014 6351701 no
06/09/2014 6348202 I believe the program does what it says...
06/09/2014 6348126 One limitation is that the teacher usage report does report the total minutes but it DOES NOT report the total puzzles.

Another limitation is when the design of the puzzle is not very intuitive and the concept being presented gets muddled in HOW to actually work the puzzle.
06/09/2014 6348086 Sometimes the puzzles that are "teaching" the concepts get in the way of actually learning the skill.
06/09/2014 6347844 no
06/09/2014 6345329 I would like weekly time reports.
Have you read of or discussed any CRITIQUES of the program? If so, briefly describe.
06/10/2014 6366295 Sometimes the visual mathematical content cannot be connected with the actual understanding of the content. In other words, students sometimes cannot decipher "the point" of the puzzle they're working on.
