Thank you so much for your interest in a Summer Internship with Global Brigades. We have spent the last 10 years creating programs for young change-makers to make a real difference alongside community partners in Central America and West Africa.
About the Internship:
Our Internships are an opportunity to experience being part of an on-the-ground NGO that operates in hundreds of communities providing a range of holistic programs year-round. Because of the diversity of our programs we are in need of a variety of interns with unique skills and interests.
Holistic development is a theory and methodology that suggests that sustainable change can be accomplished only when a community's health, economic, and educational systems are collectively developed and improved together. Through the Internship you have the potential to support our staff in one of these program areas in order to contribute to our overall impact.
Application Process and Requirements
Last year, we accepted 190 participants out of more than 700 applicants. We anticipate this year will be even more competitive based on last year's success and the addition of these internships being a requirement for all new hires of Global Brigades. Preference will be given to past Global Brigades volunteers who demonstrated leadership during their previous brigade(s) or at their campus level.
