Turin has initiated a major process of analysis, reflection and debate about its past, current and future assets, capabilities and objectives. The aim is to define a new strategic plan for the city that takes into consideration the city itself as well as the larger urban and economic area, and will set the guidelines for the vision of what Turin wants to be in 2025 and the short- and mid-term actions which have to be realized and coordinated to reach the objectives identified. Overall, the city is working to enhance its competitiveness and attractiveness, looking to the national competitive environment as well as to the main European areas that are able, today, to attract economic and human resources from all over the world.

Within this context, the city authorities of Turin have asked The European House – Ambrosetti to be a partner in elaborating a successful vision of the future coherent with the views of business leaders.

As part of this, we are promoting a survey among the main players in the Italian and international business community and public sector to investigate the competitiveness and attractiveness profile of the city today and to integrate the results (in terms of ideas, proposals, needs, etc.) into the vision of the future which is in the process of being defined. The final goal is to reach an in-depth understanding of which factors are and will be crucial to enhance the competitiveness profile of the city and position the area as a global-scale hub for economic, research and innovation initiatives.

What follows are some key questions we ask you to answer concerning the issues described above. All the information collected will be used by The European House-Ambrosetti for research purposes only, will be treated on an aggregated base and will not be divulged in any way to other entities for any other purpose.
