What inferences do people make about men and women? What types of personality attributes, goals, life-styles, and ambitions are ascribed to gender? These questions concern stereotypes about men and women in regards to family, relationships, sexuality and moral beliefs.
You are invited to participate in a class project which will determine if gender myths and codes still exist. I would like for you to complete a survey that will be used to measure gender-role attitudes and beliefs in popular culture. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for me to learn your opinions.
Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential.
