Hello:
You are being asked to participate in a research study for Ms. Leonard's thesis at Arkansas Tech University. The purpose of this research study is to determine if nursing schools in Arkansas are implementing mentoring as a strategy for the promotion of job satisfaction, fostering of academic success and increased retention of novice nurse educators.
You are being asked to participate in this study because of your status as a program director, program chair, or dean of a nursing program that has been approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
The survey will take approximately fifteen (15) minutes to complete.

The decision to participate in this research study is voluntary. You do not have to participate and you can refuse any question. Even after you begin the survey, you can stop at anytime.

The possible risks of the study are minimal. You may have a minimal loss of time from regular directorial duties to complete the survey.
There is no direct benefit to you from participating in this study. There is no financial cost or reimbursement for your participation.

Your participation in this study will be handled in a confidential manner. The survey does not provide a record of who takes part in the survey, only that the survey is completed and the answers given. Because of this, no one will know if you took part in the study and no one, including the researcher, will know your answers. Any reports or publications based on this research study will use only group data and will not identify you or any individual as being a part of this study.
