Thank you for taking a few moments to participate in an important research project being conducted by the Marine Science Center - National Polytechnic Institute (Fisheries Department at CICIMAR) which includes this survey. Statistical information gathered from the Angler Economic Contribution Survey will be used to help better understand and monitor sportfishing activities and the management of sportfishing populations in the future. The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) of Mexico support this research project through environmental research funds. Science and technology will help generate the necessary information needed to address problems faced by the many entities involved in the use, management and conservation of Mexico’s natural resources. Information provided in this survey is confidential and will be used for statistical analysis only.
