Compete America Questionnaire:
Have the EB Backlogs Impacted Your Company?

Compete America wants
to identify the impact the recent employment-based (EB) immigrant visa backlogs
are having on your company and ultimately your employees. To help us paint a
precise picture to both Congress and the Administration regarding the effect
the recent Department of State (DOS) EB "cut-off" dates will have on your company
and employees, please answer the following questions and either fax with signature
or e-mail with electronic signature your response to: 202-371-5524 or [email protected]
by October 28, 2005. We appreciate your participation in this survey. We will
select compelling answers to this questionnaire, given your permission, to put
in a compiled document detailing some of the every day "horrors" caused by the
EB backlogs.

Unless you indicate otherwise,
by signing below you confirm that we can share the name of your company and
your responses to this questionnaire with Congress, the Administration and the
media. We value your input.

Employment-Based Immigration

In September the Department
of State announced numerous “cut-off” dates in the first three employment-based
immigrant visa categories effective October 1, 2005, that will have a far-reaching
impact on employers who seek to qualify foreign workers for permanent residence,
as well as on foreign workers and their families. Please answer the following
“yes” or “no” questions by marking the appropriate space with an “x.” Additionally,
should you have another note beyond yes or no, please mark that in the “other”
space provided for certain questions.

L-1 Workers. Many foreign workers are in the 5th or 7th year of an L-1 visa. Is this a problem for your company in light of the EB visa backlogs?
Yes No

If so, what will you do with these employees if their L-1 visas expire prior to their adjustment of status to permanent residence? Will you have to:
Yes No Other

If yes, approximately how many?
