By continuing with the survey, I give my consent to participate in an experiment being conducted by Holy Cross Research Method students: Caitlin Donovan, Tony Quesada, Edel Quinn, and Aurora Scozzafava.
The purpose of this study is to explore teachers perspectives on student intelligence. This study will consist of two surveys: one measuring the perspectives of intelligence and one measuring individual differences in personal style. The experiment should require no more than ten minutes to complete.
I understand that this study will be conducted in a manner which will maintain my confidentiality throughout the entire experimental process. I understand that I have the right to withdraw from the study at any moment and for any reason. I understand that I will not be compensated for participation.
Following the study, I will receive a copy of the studys results upon request and will have the opportunity to ask any questions that may arise.

The items below inquire about what kind of a person you think you are. Each item consists of a pair of characteristics, with the letters A-E in between.
For example: Not at all Artistic A...B...C...D...E Very Artistic.
Each pair describes contradictory characteristics - that is, you cannot be both at the same time, such as very artistic and not at all artistic. The letters form a scale between the two extremes. You are to chose a letter which describes where you fall on the scale. For example, if you think you have no artistic ability, you would choose A. If you think you are pretty good, you might choose D. If you are only medium, you might choose C, and so forth. |
