This brief Survey is being conducted by the Tuscaloosa News and a doctoral student at the University of Alabama in the College of Communication and Information Science.

The survey will ask about your use of news media, as well as basic demographic information. Specific questions will be asked about one of the newest products of the Tuscaloosa News, Pulse, the teen section that appears on Tuesdays. NO SPECIFIC IDENTIFYING INFORMATION WILL BE USED.

The data will be used by the Tuscaloosa News to better understand the usage of the newspaper and online site by consumers. It will also be used by the student as part of an academic study examining the uses and gratifications of Pulse for a course assignment.
