Meet Thomas Maiwald-Immer, or T2 as we affectionately known him. He is our Managing Director (DACH/PL) at QuestionPro. His story is about growth, learning, and an enduring passion for making a difference. Let’s get to meet him better.
Thomas began his journey at QuestionPro seven years ago as a Key Account Manager. From the beginning, he felt welcomed, which was the encouragement and support that helped him grow into recently taking on one of the most important challenges in his career in the organization: Leading the reinforcements of the DACH/PL region to continue the growth of the brand. into the role he occupies today.
A Journey Full of Growth
For Thomas, working at QuestionPro has been a transformative experience. It has allowed him to explore international cultures, broaden his horizons, and, perhaps most importantly, learn from his mistakes. He values this culture of learning, growth, and development, and it’s a key reason why his journey has been so fulfilling.
One of the things Thomas appreciates most about working at QuestionPro is the opportunity to grow. He loves the company’s mentor program, the freedom to develop new ideas, and the open feedback culture that exists at all levels. Thomas tells us how this makes him feel empowered to make a difference. He also enjoys the unique perks that QuestionPro offers, like half a day off every Friday during the summer and additional holidays, which provide a healthy work-life balance that he really values.
When he’s not at work, Thomas enjoys indulging in his love for Polish food, with piroggis being his favorite dish. He also finds inspiration in his grandfather, who taught him patience; and in his mentor and CEO, Vivek, who has shown him how to handle problems and stressful situations from a different angle to maintain mental health. Outside work, we can find Thomas hiking or building Lego with his son, Miko—which brings him the most joy.
A good workday for Thomas has an early start, a cup of coffee, and the excitement of a new idea. His day is filled with interesting conversations with customers, brainstorming sessions with his team, and strategic discussions with partners and the product team.
For him, it’s about achieving the company’s goals, increasing visibility and awareness in his market, and training the sales team. But it’s also about personal development, both in his professional and private life, as he wants to be the best father, husband, and leader he can be.
What makes QuestionPro unique for Thomas is how it allows him to truly make a difference. Management’s willingness to listen, make clear decisions, and explain them creates an environment where every employee feels valued—not just a number. This is why Thomas remains committed to the company, driven by his desire to contribute meaningfully by earning the trust of his employees and achieving the company’s goals.
One of Thomas’s fondest memories at QuestionPro is when he was brand new and had the opportunity to meet the CEO, who asked him what his one wish was. Instead of asking for something personal, Thomas spoke up for his customers, requesting colored smileys. A week later, those colored smileys were implemented—a funny story that continues to remind him of the unique and supportive culture at QuestionPro.
