Scleral Lenses and Water Safety

This survey was originally run in 2020 by the Dry Eye Foundation and received 534 responses. This 2024 version on My Big Fat Scleral Lens is identical.

We want to get a better understanding of how our scleral lens community relates to practices such as rinsing scleral lenses with water, showering while wearing scleral lenses, and swimming while wearing scleral lenses. We'd like to understand what our community does, what we believe about these practices and why, and what we are being told by our lens providers.

This survey is open to anyone who has been wearing scleral lenses for at least the past three months.
