OLLI@BSC Volunteer Application

Questions marked with a * are required
Volunteers are at the heart of a successful OLLI organization, and you, as a volunteer, will be part of what makes OLLI at Bismarck State College  such a great lifelong learning institute.

PLEASE NOTE: We require all volunteers to be members of OLLI@BSC.
Volunteer Positions

Class Hosts:
Hosts arrive early (45-30 minutes prior to start time) to assist the instructor in setting up the room for class. Duties may include: distributing any handouts, welcoming participants, introducing instructors and contacting the CE office if problems arise during class.

Curriculum Committee: Plan a well-balanced and diverse curriculum each catalog. Research course opportunities, recruit instructors and review proposed course descriptions.

Outreach/Fundraising Committee: Help recruit new members by finding new ways to enhance awareness in the community and to inform prospective members about the many opportunities offered by OLLI@BSC. This may include finding potential partnerships.

At OLLI@BSC, we try to keep our prices low for our members. We have been able to do this through our yearly start up grants provided by the Osher Foundation. As we transition from those grants to the interest from our endowment, we must rely on fundraising to keep our member costs low. The fundraising committee will find ideas for fundraising initiatives and work with CE staff to establish a fundraising plan.

Please select the position(s) that interest you.
