FACULTY CONFERENCE GRANT APPLICATION

The CLASS Dean’s Office and the Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) are committed to faculty development. 

We invite applications for faculty conference grants up to $1,500.00.  All CLASS full-time and part-time faculty are eligible to apply. Faculty from other UOG Colleges, Schools or Units are not eligible for CLASS grants. CLASS faculty are eligible for only one travel grant per academic year. The University Travel Policy must be followed for the use of Travel Grant funds.

The guidelines for awarding faculty conference grants are as follows:
1. First priority will be given to supporting faculty attending professional meetings where they are presenting a paper.
2. Second priority will be given to supporting faculty attending professional meetings for professional purposes other than presenting a paper.
3. Third priority will be given to other faculty development projects such as workshops, interdisciplinary course preparations, etc.  
Projects benefiting more than one division are encouraged.

The AAC will review applications and make recommendations to the Dean and Associate Dean. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by the deadline (indicated on the website). Applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed after the deadline, if resources permit. 

If you are awarded the Faculty Conference grant, it is your responsibility to submit your documents and complete a travel authorization (TA) no later than 10 business days before you travel. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the grant award.
