57. I would like to share more about eye drops I have tried (optional)
02/26/2021 | 102386923 | The serum tears help, but helped a lot is a stretch. |
02/25/2021 | 102279590 | Adding that Restasis helped for about 5 years, and stopped working after that. Also, I asked several ophthalmologists about biologic eye drops, and was never able to get much information or a prescription. |
02/25/2021 | 102268374 | I'm currently taking Lotemax for map dot fingerprint dystrophy, as indicated above, but I don't know if they help dry issues so I wasn't sure how to answer that question. |
02/25/2021 | 102226919 | I was a faithful user of Refresh night time ointment. Then the hurricane and they were off the market for many years. I have not migrated back. Prior to 2020 when I started the vitamin regiment described above - I was buying and using a 5-month supply of Oasis TearsPlus every month and I was barely getting by. Now, I can use Blink TearsGel - there OK and get enough lubricant to make it through the day. Before it would have never happened. I do miss the cushion feeling you get with Oasis TearsPlus. |
02/23/2021 | 101889717 | Restasis caused terrible long-lasting burning and heart palpitations. |
02/21/2021 | 101638063 | Restasis was terrible. Burned, blurred my vision, caused my whites of the eye to turn red and looked like the eye was popping out. Terrible for me. Tried for 7 months and got worse. |
02/21/2021 | 101634149 | I haven't given any eye drops much of a chance to work because I really struggle with putting them in. I practically hyperventilate no matter which method I try. I really think they might help more if I stuck with them but I just can't do it. |
02/21/2021 | 101603311 | With sclerals I use Genteal tears before and after insertion, and after removal. If I am with 2 hours of removing my lenses I use a less viscous drop like Refresh tears. |
02/20/2021 | 101579517 | Lotemax works exceptionally well. Use it rarely |
02/19/2021 | 101523359 | I have three yet to try here, xiidra, cyclosporine and the autologus serum drops (think they are the drops made from your own blood?). Post cataract surgery recovery which i am in at present, i intend to try these, one at a time, as possible replacements for Lacrisert inserts. I note Lacriserts aren’t mentioned here and they disappeared from the Australian market in the early 2000s. Some of us still manage to get them from overseas but they are very expensive and supply is often disrupted and we fear they will go off the market all together. They truly work miracles for me. |
