Comment Box / Single Row Text / Numeric Input / Email Address questions are designed to collect narrative responses. Assign open-ended text as custom variables for data pre-population within the survey.
A matrix question is a 2-dimensional version of the Multiple Choice question type. It is arranged like a table, where the questions are listed to the left and answer choices across the top. There are three kinds of matrix questions: Multi-Point Scales / Dropdown Matrix restricts participants to select one answer per row; Checkbox / Multi-Select Matrix allows multiple answers per row; Spreadsheet Matrix provides textboxes for freeform input.
Ordering / Rating Type Questions

Star rating questions allows respondents to compare different items using a common rating scale or to compare a list of items to each other. Constant sum questions enable respondent to weigh or assign values to the answer options.
Presentation Text / Display Only Type Questions
Presentation Text / Section Heading / Section Sub-Heading questions: Add descriptive text or images for giving instructions or for display purposes. Presentation text questions can be used even as a separator for reading logic.
Miscellaneous Question Types
The Date / Time question are designed to allow respondents to select a date, with clients having the option to display time selection as well as year range. Contact Information Questions can collect personal information from the respondents in a single question with the possibility of validating the zip code and phone number.
Side-by-side matrix is a multi-dimensional matrix that presents a compact way to ask the respondent for feedback on a range of categories. Each row of the matrix question can be rated across more than one category.
The Numeric / Categorical Slider Scale Questions give respondents the ability to slide and control the rating. The scales can be given numeric or text values to allow more precise responses.

Respondents can upload files with their survey response. The upload type question allows respondents to upload documents, images and audio / video files. Respondents also have the option to upload their digital signature into the survey.
Net Promoter Score Question
A Net Promoter question is a scoring model for measuring customer satisfaction. It asks respondents to rate on a scale of 0 to 10, which is divided into sections of Promoters, Passive and Detractors. The aggregate responses of each section are calculated and the net value of the Promoters is shown.
Branching Based on Responses
Based on the respondent's selection, the next questions are dynamically presented. Branching can used to enable default redirection to a question and also to assign custom variables.
Piping and Looping Example
A select set of questions are dynamically looped through based on a response to another set of questions. Piping involves population of selected responses into the looped set of responses.
Question Extraction Example
Extraction allows selected answers to dynamically display in the following questions. Extraction logic can be applied on multiple select and matrix questions and can be extracted into Multiple Choice, Text Input as well as all types of Ordering/Rating type and Matrix questions. Answer options not selected can also be displayed in future questions using Reverse Extraction.
Relative / Absolute Score
Sometimes absolute percent values do not convey enough information. Relative values play a vital role in the decision making process of any business. The Scoring Logic allows clients to assign weights for answer options of multiple choice questions. A relative score can be displayed as well as a customized mean.
Embed screen-shots / images of new versions of products/websites to be rated by users. Use the HTML code or select an image question type to display images.
Embed multi-media clips into the survey. Respondents can click on Play to view the clip before answering a question.
Integration with Online Broadcasting Services
Embed clips from YouTube into the survey. This option is especially useful when large media files need to be embedded within the survey. YouTube provides on-demand streaming video feed, so the user does not have to wait for the entire file to be buffered before it's played. You can now enter the YouTube ID of the video without having to use the video code.
Large and small organizations usually like their surveys look to "match" the look and feel of their website. This is especially useful for organizations whose customers are very familiar with their website. Matching the look and feel of the survey to the website is also likely to increase the response rate because the respondent will instantly recognize the context of the survey. You can customize every part of the survey user interface using CSS.
With 94% of the world's population not speaking English as their first language and 75% not speaking English at all, it is imperative for organizations on a global level to deploy a multilingual model for all their business correspondences, client feedback, employee appraisals, researches, etc. QuestionPro supports multiple languages! The multilingual functionality allows clients to add text for each question and answer option in the language you want to offer to your respondents and also displays the buttons and validation messages in that language.
We support all Right to Left Languages like Arabic, Hebrew, etc. Not only is the text displayed from right-to-left, but also the radio buttons / check boxes are also displayed in that way.
We also support using of logograms within the questions and answer text of the survey with languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.
We allow the conversion of a survey created in MS Word into an online survey. Most organizations already have questionnaires created on Word and they can upload the document in a specific format to have a readymade online survey.
