SMTP Relay Mail Server Integration

QuestionPro SMTP Relay lets you send survey invitation emails using your existing email service. SMTP relay uses your corporate SMTP server settings for sending emails and provides authenticity and thereby avoids the email invite being flagged off as SPAM/Junk mail.

To set up the mail server integration, go to: Login » My Account (Top Right Corner)

Select My Account from the drop down.

Scroll down to Account Settings and enable the toggle for SMTP

Enter all details for the SMTP connection and click on the Save and verify connection icon beside the SMTP switch.

Once the connection is sucessful, you will see the verified connection notification.

If the connection is not successful, you will see a warning error message for invalid connection. Click on log to troubleshoot issues.

It depends - but very likely yes. The way the SMTP Relay system works is that, your servers will be the initial receivers of the email - even if the email is not destined to your domain. This makes sure that your servers are the initial point of contact as they email out to the wider world.

By using the SMTP Relay, all emails that you send are routed through your servers. For example, if you are sending email invitations to gmail, hotmail etc. - and you would want to route all the emails through your servers - for corporate accountability, standards, archiving etc. - the SMTP Relay functionality will make sure this happens.

Yes. Once you have setup a SMTP relay, you can use custom from and reply-to email address.

To customize the from name and email address, go to: Surveys (Select Survey) » Distribute

Open the dropdown for the from email address and click on Add From Email

Add your required SMTP emails.

Now you can use the custom from email addresses by selecting them from the drop down.
