LiveCast is a new question type introduced by QuestionPro that enables you to collect real-time video feedback. Using machine learning and natural language processing, LiveCast identifies underlying emotions in each video response and generates comprehensive reports with AI-driven transcript analysis. This allows you to ask follow-up questions and uncover deeper insights from the collected data.

To add LiveCast question to your survey:
Go to: Login » Surveys (select a survey) » Edit » Design » Classic Layout » Save and Apply » Workspace Click on Add Question button.
Under Advanced questions, select LiveCast type question.
A LiveCast question will be added to your survey. You can edit the Max Response Length field to set the duration of each response.
When respondents take your survey, they will be prompted to record a short video response to the LiveCast question.
The browser will request permission to access the respondent’s camera and microphone.
Once permission is granted, respondents can record their video feedback, review it, and submit their response as part of the survey.
All LiveCast feedback videos are collected and transcripted. We then run sentiment analysis on the text transcripts and produce the reports.

Click on a question to view its analysis.
The LiveCast Analysis page opens, displaying two tabs: Videos and Dashboard
The Videos tab contain a list of recorded response videos including AI-generated summary and transcripts for each response.
The Dashboard tab provides an overview of sentiment distribution and an AI-generated summary across all recorded video responses.
The cost of LiveCast is based on the number of recording minutes used from the total minutes included in your license. During the public beta, LiveCast is available at no additional cost until February 19. To learn more about future pricing, please reach out to your account manager.
Yes, you can insert multiple LiveCast questions in the same survey to capture video feedback at different stages or about different topics.
Yes, you can download LiveCast responses as a zip file that contains the video files along with an Excel file including the summary and full transcripts for each response.
Yes, The maximum video length for LiveCast is 3 minutes.
Currently, LiveCast is supported only in Classic mode and is not available in other modes.
At this time, LiveCast public beta is available exclusively in the new workspace (Version 3).
Yes, LiveCast supports major languages such as English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese etc. so respondents can record video feedback in these languages and have it processed by the system.
